There is nothing more comforting in my mind than a chicken and mash pie, and this is my Nando’s/peri peri version and lovelies it is SO good.

Turn cooking mode on

Step 1

Fry the chicken for few minutes until opaque on the outside, it doesn’t need to be fully cooked at this stage, then add in your garlic and paprika, cook for a minute, before adding in your tomato puree. Cook for a further couple of minutes.

Notes

Just be aware we use a whole bottle here so use a milder flavour if you don’t want it to be spicy. I used pre-made mash for ease, be sure to heat it before topping the pie.

Pie was amazing! I didn’t have any peas in so substituted for sweetcorn. Very tasty! Will definitely be making again (with peas!) x
